Di tempat ini mereka belajar nilai-nilai hidup, tidak hanya dari para pendamping, tetapi terlebih pada saat mereka berinteraksi bersama warga Kalirejo, juga dari situasi alam dan lingkungan yang begitu indah dan menantang fisik mereka. 

Beberapa prestasi yang diperoleh dua bulan terakhir (April-Mei 2015). 

“Rekoleksi kali ini, kami belajar hidup ....” tutur seorang siswa kelas IX SMP Stella Duce 2 Yogyakarta dalam kegiatan rekoleksi persiapan menghadadi ujian, Jumat-Minggu  16-18/11 bersama tim HALO di Samigaluh, Kulon Progo. Kegiatan yang diikuti 148 siswa kelas IX dan terbagi dalam 2 gelombang ini, rutin diselenggarakan oleh pihak sekolah untuk membekali mental para siswa kelas IX dalam menghadapi ujian.

It was so touching seeing how the students tried to involve themselves to a totally different life. We hardly notice any students who were reluctant to be there. They enjoyed the recollection a lot, though they had to do some challenging tasks. From the activities we knew that they were eager to struggle for themselves. They also learnt how to be thankful for what they were and what they had possessed.
